Case Studies The following case studies represent a cross section of projects and capabilities demonstrating EOC's photo memoir experience.
Corporate Accomplishments
World renowned dermatology cosmetic surgical
center and spa, La Jolla Spa MD opened its doors in February 2002. Upon
arrival, the public and clientele often find themselves waiting in the lobby and
are not fully aware of the broad range of services and therapies offered by this
respected staff of professionals. Dianne York-Goldman, President, is a creative visionary. She soon recognized an opportunity for increased credibility and excitement by providing a portfolio of accomplishments in each of three lobby waiting areas. This consists of all Spa MD offers. Executive Organizing Consultants (EOC) was retained to organize and assemble this expose of testimonials, promotions, press releases, citations, awards, and articles in magazines & journals. Patients and clients have commented that they enjoy reading up on Spa MD’s noteworthy achievements, and look at the portfolio every time they visit. “Not only is it a fine promotional piece for our clientele while they are waiting,” says York-Goldman, “but also it serves as an educational and reference tool for our internal staff.”
Tangible Estate Inventory Betty Hunt was truly a grand dame in Hollywood, and lived a long life filled with memories and memorabilia. When she succumbed to ovarian cancer at age 80, she had no immediate family to handle her affairs. She never married, had no children, and was the only child of a small family. The niece of Betty's deceased best friend and lover, Beau,
was trusted to act as her executor. Among the duties Ms. Jillie had was inventorying Betty’s assets to determine the value of her estate. In addition to Betty’s investments, she and Beau lived in an apartment together for over 30 years. It was packed full of belongings: furnishings, electronics, jewelry, silver, china, American Indian rugs, and turquoise. Ms. Jillie and her team organized, photographed, and obtained appraisals of these items before their disposition. This inventory was assembled in a special book to document value and facilitate decision making. The result was an orderly and fully documented disposition of estate assets in a reasonable time.
Honoring a Great Man
The children and wife of William Benson Bonnifield, III were about to celebrate his 80th birthday with a surprise dinner at Skytop Lodge in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania. They wanted to him to enjoy a gift that exemplified not only their deep admiration for this man, but also the impact he had on their lives.
“Our Father, Our Hero” is a photographic memoir created by Executive Organizing Consultants after collecting and scanning over 300 photos of his life & heritage, researching his genealogy, and locating his World War 2 medals on the web. Five identical duplicates of this handcrafted album were made for family members. They also contain written testimonials written by his wife, daughters, and son, which served as a basis for the after dinner program.
It was a fitting tribute to a remarkable man.
Chronicling a Career Many of us go through careers, but this one is also a love affair.
The wife of Hudson Houck decided to compile a
cohesive photo journal of her husband’s 28-year career as coach of NFL football
teams.
Then one day, Elise Houck was impressed by a portfolio album she came across in a corporate waiting lobby. She liked the content, style and quality of workmanship. So she contacted Executive Organizing Consultants (EOC), the creator of this album. Over a period of several months, EOC met with Ms. Houck to teach her organize, select, journal, mount, and enhance her own photographic journals. By the end of a series of workshops, Ms. Houck was able to complete the two volume book on her own. The she had it engraved and presented it to the coach with great pride. He reacted with tremendous gratitude. “I had no idea I had accomplished so much!” he said to her. Hudson Houck is to be envied: not only did he have a dream
job as an NFL coach—
Speaking Engagement On April 30, 2005, Diana Jillie, President of Executive Organizing, presented with Liz Corso at the Annual Conference and Organizing Exposition of the National Association of Professional Organizers, in San Diego. The topic was: "Organizing Photographs: Traditional and Digital Technique." Over 100 attendees were present, and feedback was excellent. Feedback from Lanna Nakone "...I just think you were AMAZING!!! Between you and me your talk was the only one I really got a lot out of. You had some fantastic resources and are very computer savvy.
